Tamás Csizmadia

born in 1988

Tamás studied classical dance at the Hungarian Dance Academy, which he graduated from in 2009. His leading teachers were György Szakály, Nóra Szönyi and Sándor Barkóczi. During his studies he attended summer classes – Hungarian Dance Academy´s International  Summer Course in Budapest, as well as international dance courses in Atwerpen, Madrid and Prague.

During the seasons 2009 – 2011 he was a member of the National Theatre Belgrade. He performed at classical ballets as Swan LakeDon Quixote as well as in modern pieces Step Lightly by Lightfoot/León, Six Dances by J. Kylián, Viva la vida By A. Ilic, Queen Margot by k. Simic, Who´s Singing Over There by S. Zurovac, Interval by Z.Markovic among others.

Tamás perfomed in China, Egypt, Japan, Switzerland and Scotland.

In 2008 he won a Hungarian State Scholarship and the Havas Ferenc Award. In the same year he won 2nd prize at the Hungarian Dance Academy Competition. In 2010 he was awarded the Public Prize at the National Theatre Belgrade.
